Easy Bullhorn Oct 07

I like the Easy Button, but it’s just not loud enough.
The button normally goes to a sub-2″ wee speaker, but I connected it to my 99’s OE 5.25″ door speaker. It’s now a lot louder and with more bass. So I got the idea to hook up the output to a megaphone and mount it inside my fender well. Then, when I win a race, I hit the button.  The Easy Button has a 3V circuit that goes to a speaker output. I ran that speaker output to my megaphone, and it’s loud enough already. But I want to get a marine-style mini amplifier to take this thing up to 25W from whatever sub-1W rating it has now. I had to remove my megaphone’s siren circuit to make this work, so now I have a spare 9-12V circuit that sounds like a police siren. Any ideas? :D I took some cell phone pictures of the setup so far.

My cat, Danica Catrick, slowed me down by playing with my wires. Having nothing to do until she got bored, I took a picture of her becoming bored and then went back to work.

I removed two diagonally opposed screw locations from the top of the Easy Button section so I could run my + and – wires through the screw holes.

I use pink heatshrink because it’s cheaper.

Here is the finished wiring, ready to be put up against the megaphone:

Done!
